Every crew that rolls out of our New Braunfels shop works under the same rule Tomas Reyes wrote down in 2013: the customer gets a written price before the first panel comes off, and a photo record of every duct run before the van leaves. Our technicians are background-checked, uniformed, and identified by name before arrival. What unites us isn’t a script; it’s the H.A.V.E.N. Tomas Reyes, Owner
I started CleanRun in 2013 after watching too many homeowners pay for duct cleaning that amounted to a shop vacuum run through a register hole. Before that, I spent six years as an HVAC installer in San Antonio, crawling attics in July when the plywood sheathing hits 140 degrees. I hold a Texas Air Conditioning Contractor license and trained on negative-pressure extraction systems through Abatement Technologies. What I actually do most days now: review the photo records from the previous day’s jobs, flag any run that doesn’t show clear before-and-after contrast, and call the customer myself if something looks off. I live in New Braunfels with my family, and my own home’s duct system was last cleaned in March, documented, and the photos are on my phone if anyone asks to see what a proper job looks like.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been with CleanRun since 2017, which makes him the longest-tenured technician in our New Braunfels operation. He specializes in older HVAC systems, the kind common in homes built before 1990 around the Comal River area, where galvanized ductwork and original fiberglass lining require a lighter touch than modern flex duct. He’s certified in Rotobrush R-Video inspection and carries a borescope with a 120-degree field of view, which he uses to document elbows and transitions that the main camera line misses. Off the job, Marcus rebuilds vintage motorcycles and applies the same patience to a seized 1974 engine that he does to a collapsed duct run behind a plaster wall.
Elena V., Senior Installer & Duct Repair Specialist
Elena joined us in 2019 after eight years in commercial HVAC retrofit in Austin, where she learned to fabricate duct transitions on site when the original drawings didn’t match what was actually in the ceiling. She handles our duct repair and sealing work, including Aeroseal applications and manual mastic sealing at plenum connections. She’s particularly good at diagnosing airflow imbalance, the kind that leaves one bedroom in a Canyon Lake-area home freezing while the living room stays warm. Elena keeps a notebook of every oddball fitting she’s fabricated, organized by date, and refers back to it when a new job presents something she hasn’t seen before. She grew up in Seguin and still drives back most Sundays for family dinner.
Darnell K., Service Coordinator
Darnell answers the phone when you call (830) 549-6847, schedules your appointment, and makes sure the written estimate reaches your inbox before the technician is dispatched. He’s been with CleanRun since 2021 and previously coordinated field operations for a plumbing company in San Marcos, so he knows the difference between a customer who needs a same-week slot and one who needs a Saturday because they work in San Antonio weekdays. Darnell verifies that every technician’s background check is current, every vehicle inspection is logged, and every customer’s photo record is delivered within 24 hours of job completion. He also handles the Free Second Opinion requests, pulling competitor estimates and scheduling Tomas to review them side-by-side with our own written scope.
Jesse R., Apprentice Technician
Jesse started with us in 2024 after completing the HVAC program at Central Texas Technology Center in New Braunfels. He’s currently working toward his Rotobrush certification and shadows Marcus on every residential job until he can demonstrate proper negative-pressure setup and register sealing without prompting. Jesse’s specialty so far is dryer vent cleaning, particularly the long runs common in newer Hill Country homes where the laundry room sits at the opposite end of the house from the exterior wall. He documents every job with the same thoroughness as the senior techs, and his photo records are reviewed in the weekly team meeting. Jesse was born in New Braunfels and can usually tell you which builder put in the original ductwork just by the neighborhood and year built.
